Boy a week can make a big difference. From cold to warm in less than seven days. Life is good. With the mid-West being pummeled with snow, and Buffalo already with 60 inches or more, I am sitting here listening to Christmas music and writing this. Nephew Bob says there was 17 inches in Menomonie, Wisconsin. The Vikings game cancelled because the roof caved in, and in Ellensburg, Washington, another 14 inches of snow fell. However, always remember - THERE IS NO GLOBAL WARMING!!!!

On Thursday, I finally gave up and went to the doctor, a wonderful man I just found in the area. He listened to my lungs and looked into my ears, eyes and throat. I had bronchitis, so he gave me a sample inhaler, and wrote out a script for three other meds. An antibiotic, Claritin, and cough syrup with codeine. He told me I should be feeling much better by Sunday, and hey, this is Sunday, and I do feel better. No more going into convulsions of coughing, and I am actually sleeping through the night. I can't ask for more.

I have already sent out two packages to Molokai, and I have another two boxes to send tomorrow. What is in them you may ask? In one is my knitting. In another books; one with two beach towels, bathing suit, and brown and powdered sugar, sprinkles of all kinds, cookie cutters, and some house warming gifts. Kat is going to have a cookie baking party when she gets there, so I got some of the ingredients. I can't remember what is in the 4th package, so, surprise!!!!

Mar is off to the Art Museum with a friend, to learn about Japanese art. Will just left to visit a friend of his. And I have been going through things and getting myself ready to pack my clothes. Wednesday morning at 6AM we head out of here to the airport, where my plane takes off at 9:10 Pacific time.

Christmas is in evidence all around the neighborhood, as lights are appearing and snowmen (unmeltable ones) and reindeer are in the yards. Our next door neighbor is playing Christmas carols outside.

Gihan begins radiation tomorrow morning. 15 minutes a day M - F, for six weeks. On Friday she had a port put into her arm for the chemo. Wednesday she begins that - it is going to be self medicating, so she only has to go in each Wednesday to get a refill. That too is for six weeks. I heard from her and from Phil today, and she sounds happy that it is finally going to begin. She calls it Day 1 in her recovery. They both have good positive attitudes, and family and friends who are sending along prayers and good thoughts to them.

Brienne had an installation to do for one of her art classes, and since it is an outside installation, she is frustrated, because it needs to be put deep into the ground to hold it up, and the ground is frozen! I have no doubt however that she will persevere and get it accomplished. Another one of her art projects which had to do with parts of the body, was a wall of breasts - cast from real breast. Yup, that's what I said. And she had plenty of models to use.

Last night I watched ALICE IN WONDERLAND with Johnny Depp, and loved it. Then Marty and I watched IT'S COMPLICATED, a fun movie.

Life is good.
Adieu, Adios, Mahalo.
I love you all,
Sally
