It is Saturday. And I am sitting on the Lanai at Coffees of Hawaii, where I have been having coffee and going through my email and talking with people. Thursday late morning I picked up a rental car at the airport. An unusual adventure, as Artie called a woman who rents cars for $30 a day. She told John the license plate number, and the make and model. After taking care of some errands, we went to the airport, and found the car, keys in it, and put the check the former renters left, into another rental car, and I drove off with a Pontiac GTO????? No papers signed, no need to show my license. But this is Molokai, and this is how business is done with this particular person. Nice, eh?

I rented the car because Artie and John were off for Honolulu early Friday morning, and wouldn't be back until late Saturday night. And I wanted to be able to get around the island.

So yesterday I went to the state beach on the west end and hung out for about two hours. The waters there are unswimmable because of the waves and currents. And the waves were running 8 to 10 feet high or better. I did get some good pictures of the wave action. I also saw a ring-necked male pheasant, and three wild turkeys.

From the beach I went down to Kuanakakai (the town on Molokai) and went to Kaelele Bookstore, where I helped the owner, Teri. It is here where we do the chanting and I told her one time that I would organize the pages, so they could be located easier. Although I wasn't going to be going to chanting tonight, I did organize the papers, with a wonderful wind blowing in her pleasant back yard at the store. Then I went back to the house, and changed clothes, and met Emillia and Matt at The Cook House. I had baby back ribs which were wonderful. Hadn't had that type of food for quite a long time! We had a good talk, and I am going to go to Emillia's when I leave here.

This morning I got up about 8:30AM, did my bed yoga (which I do most days) and then got dressed, got my computer packed, and took some other things, and left. Have no idea where Jordan had gone to, and I knew that Peter was with friends, and being in his late 30's -early 40's, could certainly take care of himself! So can Jordan, who being 19, is a typical teenager! If you get my drift....

My next blog will be about Artie and John ... two very different people, living the life style they love.

I have lost twenty pounds.
Life is good!

Adieu, Adios, Mahalo,
I love you all,
Sally
