While sitting on a bench on Commercial Street, in Provincetown, I got these pictures. A little flavor of the Cape and P'town. Yesterday afternoon there was a Carnival on Commercial Street which we didn't get to view. But today, there was a Drag Brunch and as it was getting over, these people were coming down the street. I love to people watch. First just a street scene...
Then this person came up on a bike and helped the cop with the traffic which is an ever present detail of P'town...
He/she came by three times, each time with a different outfit on, and these crazy hats, riding a pink bike.
Then these two wonderfully made up guys came along, and I asked if I could take a picture. Of course, honey, they replied. Someone asked them where they had been, and they said, The Drag Brunch. I thought they said, The rag brunch, and when I repeated it, one of them looked at me and said, Do you know where you are? This isn't Boston, you know! I loved it...
Then Elvis and his friend walked by and I went out to take a picture, and his friend said, Oh, no, you're going to be in this too, and put me between the two of them. Someone took my camera and this was the result...
Here are a couple of more characters on the street, along with a wonderful musician who was sitting right next to me playing great tunes...
It was getting close to the time Phil was coming in, so Brie, Heather, Frank and I started walking to the end of the pier, where the High Speed Ferry comes in. Every once in a while I had to stop - it was hot, I was getting out of breath, and my left knee hurt a little, and was a little swollen. So here are pics of Heather, Frank and Brie. Then Brie and Heather. And then Heather and Frank...
We got down to where the High Speed Ferry docks, and watched it come in...Siobhan and Kat caught up with us. We spied it in the distance just rounding the jetty...
The ferry is actually a huge catamaran and it only takes an hour and a half to get from Boston to P'town...
Phil was at the front of the boat, clear to the right, with a baseball hat on, snapping pictures, as we were snapping pictures...
...
and then there he was, guitar and gear in hand...
Was it good to see him! Now for Frank Sr. to show up on Monday. Unfortunately Siobhan and Brie won't be here, but they will see him quite often now that he has picked up the New England area to manage for Forney.
As we walked back down the pier, and to the cars, this bus came by, loaded with passengers from the ferry, with everyone singing.

Well as I finish this, Frank has left for the gym; Kat, Siobhan, Heather and Phil have left for Duck Beach to watch some of the sunset and let Pepper run; and Brie is watching something on TV. All of us will meet at the Lobster Shack for dinner in about an hour.
Another beautiful day on the Cape!
I love you all,
A hui hou,
Sally
